Meeting Minutes
Thomas Prince Middle School Enrollment Study Committee
November 23, 2010
Town Hall Annex
Members present were Toryn Bright, Laura Gal, Larry Greene, Matt Lindberg, Larry Pistrang, and Dawn Sulmasy. Absent was member Carla Volturo. Also present were Selectman Edie Morgan and Town Administrator John Lebeaux. Chairman Pistrang called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM.
Acceptance of Minutes
The Committee accepted the minutes of November 10, 2010 by unanimous vote.
Recap of Brainstorming Session
The Committee was pleased with the previous week’s Brainstorming Session held in the Thomas Prince School Library. The turnout was acceptable, individuals made pertinent comments and the Committee responded to questions posed. The Committee agreed with Matt’s observation that the public seemed to have gained greater understanding of the issue.
Survey Development
The Committee first discussed its goal for the survey: was it to find the general sense of the town or those of identifiable segments? The consensus was that the survey would identify if certain potential courses of action were acceptable or not. Toryn presented a document with her ideas. Larry G. sent one by email as he expected not to attend the meeting, but he was in attendance.
The Committee then spent a great deal of time developing questions. The results of the evening’s work is contained in the referenced document Questions under Consideration for Survey.

Future Meeting Dates
The Committee will meet November 30 at the Town Hall Annex at 7:30 PM.
The Committee unanimously voted to adjourn at 9:05 PM.
